Appearance: Usually appears as a colorless or slightly yellowish liquid, miscible with water in any ratio. Anhydrous acid is very hygroscopic.

Application: Catalyst for electrophilic reactions.

Storage conditions: Store in a dry cool closed warehouse, away from oxidizing agents. In tightly closed packaging. Storage under a nitrogen blanket is preferred.
